Elite/Pro ‘cross racer Gian Dalle Angelini, 23, of Seattle, has inked a deal with the Don Walker Cycles/Rio Blanco Racing team, providing an elite cyclo-cross presence to the rapidly growing outfit.
Team sponsor and manager, Don Walker, said “We are thrilled to have Gian represent Don Walker Cycles/Rio Blanco Racing. He’s a talented rider who is coming off a couple years of rehabilitation following knee surgery, and he had the foresight to put that time into his college education. His well-written resume shows not only can he communicate well, but also he can compete at the top level.”
Angelini, who has been racing since the age of 13, excelled in Cross and the offroad disciplines in the rugged Pacific Northwest scene with several podium appearances before injuring his knee on a mountain bike training ride. Gian’s plans for this year include the GP series nationwide and Cross Nationals.
Gian said, “I’m super pumped to be riding one of Don Walker’s bikes. After a few years of chattering aluminum frames its nice to be on something so smooth and fast. Riding a hand built frame dialed in by one of the best in the business is the pinnacle of both performance and riding satisfaction.”
